ABOUT US
We were introduced by Mary Ann’s brother-in-law in 2004. Neither of us had been married before. It took us a long time to find each other but we believe that time helped us to know exactly what we wanted in a life-long partner and for a fmily. We married in 2007 on the coast of California. From our first date we learned that we shared the same values: honesty, hard work, a love of learning and the importance of making every day count. One of our common interests is competing in the sport of triathlon and we knew we were meant to be together when we learned that both of our families participate in this sport. We have many other common interests, but what is missing is a child to share our lives with.
We live in Davis, California with our two dogs LuLu and Pete. We have a big front porch with comfy chairs where we sit and watch the birds nesting in the trees at the school across the street. Our backyard is full of flowers, fruit trees and a vegetable garden. Davis is known for its exceptional public school system which is one reason we chose to live here. There are so many bike paths
that one can ride from one side of the city to the other on the paths.
Many children ride their bikes to school.

We were both taught that education is very important. Sean has a master’s degree in engineering and Mary Ann has a law degree. You can be assured we will give our child the opportunity to go to college. We want to give our child every opportunity to be successful in whatever they decide to do.

ABOUT SEAN
Sean has wanted to be a father his whole life. He is very patient and loves adventure and traveling to new places. He is very handy with maps. Sean is always planning out new hikes for Pete and LuLu. Being out-doors is very important to Sean, whether it be going for a bike ride, run, hike or just enjoying a warm sum-mer evening at a park in Davis. One of Sean’s talents is identifying birds by their song. He rode his bicycle through Europe and went to Italy several times for bike riding adventures. Sean received his degrees from UC Davis and is now a bridge engineer. Sean is known in our families for his special breakfast crepes, waf-fles and homemade deserts.
Sean’s family taught us how to support one another in everything we do. For example, we went as a family to support Sean’s dad as he competed in the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon at the age of 65! Sean’s mom and dad were at every game that Sean participated in as a child. We want to pass on this level of commitment to our child. We both understand the importance of family and plan several family events together every year. Sean’s family now lives in San Diego. He is one of four children. One of Sean’s brothers lives in Germany with his wife and two kids whom we have visited.
ABOUT MARY ANN
Mary Ann is always looking for the positive side to things. Mary Ann is one of five children and loves run-ning, biking, swimming, gardening and walking the dogs. Mary Ann has one nephew and both she and Sean attend his high school football and baseball games. Mary Ann went to school at the University of Mi-ami in Florida. She is an attorney for the state of California where she has a very flexible work schedule. She volunteers for an after school program for elementary school girls which teaches them about self re-spect and healthy living while training for a 5k run.
Mary Ann’s family has taught us the importance of getting together often as a family. With everyone close by, Mary Ann’s dad has dinner at his house regularly. We schedule an annual family 5 k run and in the summer we have a tomato contest to see who can grow the best tasting tomatoes. Mary Ann’s mom lives in Costa Rica, and we go visit regularly.
FAMILY
We hav many family traditions we want to share with our child. For Halloween, we go to the pumpkin patch with Pete and LuLu to pick out pumpkins. Thanksgiving is spent with Mary Ann’s family where we all bring different dishes and end the day playing games like Pictionary. Every Christmas we pick out a special Christmas tree and decorate the whole house. Then we go to Sean’s parents’ house in San Diego and play games, do puzzles by the fire and go hiking.
