Brendan, Laura & Alexis
Our thoughts…
Thank you for taking the time to take a glimpse into our lives. In February of 2009, we experienced the incredible joy of becoming parents through adoption when our daughter, Alexis was born. We met her birthparents shortly before she was born and were at the hospital for her birth, providing support and enjoying the amazing experience. We have maintained contact with both sides of her birthfamilies since she was born. We believe that each adoption is unique and specific to the needs of the birthmom/parents and the baby. We are very excited about the adoption of a second child and completing our family. We recognize the difficult decision you must make and admire your bravery.
OUR PROMISE: We will provide a loving stable life full of opportunities and experiences for our
children. We will provide unconditional love, the warmth of friends and family, encouragement to be an individual, the opportunity to know and love you and the knowledge that he or she was placed into our family as an act of love.
Sincerely,
Brendan, Laura, Alexis & Baxter too!
About Us!
Laughter ~ Honesty~Love
We are best friends and have been since Laura’s Senior Prom over 17 years ago. We were married in July of 2000 and just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Our marriage is strong and committed. We share many of the same interests, but what we enjoy most is being a family. Laura is a Pediatric Nurse and Brendan is an Engineering Geologist, both careers allow us extremely flexible
schedules to spend time with family.

Our strong marriage is based on living a life together that allows us to express who we are as a couple, a family and as individuals. We believe that laughter and a sense of humor are the keys to happiness. We value education through school experiences and life experiences. We feel that a family that plays together, stays together. Our large support system of family and friends is waiting anxiously to welcome a new baby.
Our Home
We live in a family friendly neighborhood in Sacramento, close to the American River. We are in a great school district, in a neighborhood filled with beautiful trees, several parks and children of all ages. During the summer months we spend many afternoons and evenings at the local Cabana Club swimming and BBQing with other families. We love being such a short drive from the beach San Francisco and Lake Tahoe.
We love everything about our home and have filled it with fun toys and
activities like a water & sand table, slide, swing, sidewalk chalk
and lots of room for blowing bubbles! We regularly BBQ with our friends
and their children. We love to be outside and usually have a variety of
music on.
Baxter, our hound dog, is a great companion for walks and playing in the
yard. He definitely enjoys playing with the kids and easily welcomes
all ages, including babies.
About Brendan (by Laura)
Brendan is kind, fun and talented. He is unbelievably considerate about those around him and is dedicated to family and friends. He constantly makes me laugh with his great sense of humor. His talents with woodworking, home repairs and car repairs never cease to amaze me. Brendan is an excellent dad, participating in everything from midnight feedings, diaper changes to playtime. He is a patient teacher. The sound of Brendan and Lexi laughing is music to my ears. Alexis thrives
with his love and support.
About Laura (by Brendan)
Laura is a loving, generous, and fun individual. Her attitude towards life, family and friends is
inspirational. Laura enjoys a good book once in a while and just about every outdoor activity there is. She is always up for a challenge and makes every activity fun. She is a pediatric nurse who loves her job and the people she meets doing it. I am very fortunate to have her in my life. She is an incredible mom and makes every experience wonderful for Lexi. She is great at everything from changing diapers, playing at the park, reading bedtime stories and helping Lexi learn to figure things out.
About Alexis (by Mommy & Daddy)
Alexis is spirited and loving. She always has a smile on her face and has the best giggle! She is adventurous and curious. She has a genuine love of animals and our dog, Baxter is definitely her
buddy. She plays well with her friends and cousins and is always sweet to the kids younger than her.
Our Interests
We love to be at home, enjoying our time together as a family. We listen to music, work in the yard and complete do-it-yourself projects. We enjoy being out on our boat, alone or with family and friends. We enjoy camping every summer and skiing or playing in the snow every winter.
We have so much fun taking Lexi and her cousins to the zoo, Fairytale Town, the park and just playing in the backyard. We are always amazed at how fast they grow and enjoy watching them learn new things.

We plan to continue visits to Colorado, Texas, and Tennessee to see extended
family and friends. We also enjoy spending plenty of time in Southern California with both our families, going to Disneyland, Sea World and playing in the sand at the beach.
Annual Traditions
When decorating the Christmas Tree, each person gets a new ornament that signifies their
interests over the last year. Easter Sunday Brunch with family followed by a trip to the park and an egg hunt with all of the cousins. Camping in Gualala and Fort Bragg with morning walks to the tide pools, afternoon picnics with kite flying on the beach, and nighttime campfires including a Smore’s contest with friends.
